General
- Still recovering from the power loss occured on Saturday (The primary line was affected). In the hall the power was down for about 30 minutes, while in the tunnels it seems it was only a glitch.
- It is clear that it was a major system failure. Optimization of procedures and responsibility will be discussed within the DOD.
FXE
- Issues with the acquisition of images fromt he Jungfrau detector with the last version of Karabo. DET to follow it up offline.
- There are concerns about the replacement of the simple motor with the MC2 library, in particular about whether all functionalities will still be available (e.g. step-up/down). According to EEE this should be okay. CAS has already release the new library for testing. ==> will be done in thw WS for FXE, later for th tunnels and the other instruments.
- Remote control of the radiation shutter dows not work. IP of the new computer is needed. Will be solved offline between FXE, CAS and ITDM.
SPB/SFX
- Hexapods are being integrated. ==> This was rescheduled due to the issues with hexapods at HED and MID. Currently, there is no dire need to integrate the SPB/SFX hexapod, it can be run from TwinCAT. ==> postponed.
SCS
- Support from EEE is needed to make sure motors needed for the user experiments in 2 weeks are actually working (e.g. Elmo).
- If issues with the pulse IDs occur, AS, PG and BF are to be contacted (part of the trigger board)
SQS
MID
- DPS turbo pump issue. A software workaround exists. The problem is that the used controller has not been commissioned firmwarewise before. This is not a showstopper and wil be addressed later. ==> The cabling is done differently. EEE is testing the device + firmware. ==> Ongoing
- Vacuum interlock worked fine following the power failure.
- Recovering from the power failure. Definition of check list in progress.
HED
- Recovering of Loop 9 is ongoing (motors fpor Mono1 and 2). EEE is supporting.
- Jungfrau has been fully recovered. Epix in progress.
Optical lasers
VAC
XRO
- There was an issue with a drift of the HED mirror. As a consequence, VAC and XRO have switched of the mirror cooling. HED and MID should report about the change of the situation. ==> still exchange of information needed.
XPD
DET
- In general, it seems that no major issues occured after the power loss.
- In FXE the power supply and the chiller for the LPD are connected on different power lines and this lead to the fact that, after the power came back, the power supply was back on while the chiller was off. This should be avoided anc hecked by the instruments.
EEE
CAS
- 2.6.0. being prepared. ==> Sneak peak was deployed in SPB/SFX. Actual deployment datas can be found in the Shutdown planing, will be discussed in the chapters and with the SASE responsibles. ==> tests with ITDM being planned.

XO
- On Monday at around 12:20 there was a power glitch at least in Hamburg, affecting the machine.
- In this cause, the startup was delayed due to a missing signal from the Vacuum EPS-MPS-interface. The signal had to be manually enabled again.
- Tuning is estimated to take until 14:00 today.
- In the wake of such events a lot of communication about the machine status is happening. In the future, XO will ensure the readiness mailing list will be updated, too. In this respect, P. Gessler suggested to rethink / rename the multitude of mailing lists inherited from the construction phase.
FXE
- There are concerns about the replacement of the simple motor with the MC2 library, in particular about whether all functionalities will still be available (e.g. step-up/down). According to EEE this should be okay. CAS has already release the new library for testing.
SPB/SFX
- Hexapods are being integrated. ==> This was rescheduled due to the issues with hexapods at HED and MID. Currently, there is no dire need to integrate the SPB/SFX hexapod, it can be run from TwinCAT.
SCS
- There is an issue with the main sample stage. SCS and SEC are working on it, will continue with commissioning the instrument.
SQS
- Loop 14 will be updated today.
MID
- DPS turbo pump issue. A software workaround exists. The problem is that the used controller has not been commissioned firmwarewise before. This is not a showstopper and wil be addressed later. ==> The cabling is done differently. EEE is testing the device + firmware.

- The primary door of the HED experiment is currently not guarded with a magnet against incidential opening of the door leading to a trip of the machine. KWitt has to redo some cabling, until then, users can set the laser interlock, which will engage the magnet.

- Hexapods are being integrated. ==> was supposed to be tackled today. But since both HED and MID experienced different issues with their hexapods, the commissioning at SPB/SFX has to rescheduled (Tuesday?)

The additional training can only be provided after summer. The nomination of XFEL EFKs is suffering a delay due to the fact that is not clear who should nominate them (TS, UBR, HR?). PG reported the problem and also the fact that no official statements were made in the past concerning the topic. THaas is trying to clarify the status, and come up with a statement and proposal in the Operations meeting. ==> there was no meeting on Friday. Still pending.

- Additional CAT connections planned for SQS, FXE, SCS were installed and approved by ITDM.
- During the maiinenance of the cooling water system the doors of the balcony rooms and racks were left open to cool down the electronics. Although in the past that worked, it is no longer the case. ITDM will discuss with MKK2 how to make the cooling of the balcony rooms more efficient during planned mainenance of the cooling water system or in case of emergency.

On Monday Torsten Schoen informed AV that the power went off in MID and HED experiment hutch because of the radiation interlock test. This was due to the fact that according to the original plan (circulated and approved at the beginning of May), the SASE1 test was supposed to happen on Monday and the SASE2 test the day after. On monday, SASE1 system was accordingly bridged to avoid issues with the power. A last minute change in the plan was agreed between MID and MPS but the info unfortunately did not reach Torsten, hence the issue. Also, nobody from SRP, D3, HED was timely informed.
There was obviously a lack of communication that has to be improved. AV will write a report and circulate it to the involved people for review and provide it to the MB.

- Detector tests are running this week. Before working on loops or around the detectors the SPB/SFX team should be asked/informed.
- The SPB/SFX team is on retreat on Thursday and Friday.
SCS
- Pulse IDs written by detector digitizers are recorded inconsistently by the different instruments. Some discussions have started to improve the situation and work is ongoing, but no target date is known. Right now the people working on this topic are BF, AS, KW, PG. A Karabo data guy should be also involved. The progress should be tracked in the Wednesday meetings.

MID
- Loop 7/11 need to be updated. Already coordinated with EEE.
- Loop8 is needed (remote control of the vac system).
HED
- Works in the tunnels will resume this week.
- Commissioning of the Amplitude laser is ongoing. The goal is to bring the optical laser beam into the hutch this week. There might be radiation involved, but HED is working together with SRP to define all the needed steps.
- This week radiation interlock tests are foreseen with D3.

- Works in the tunnels will resume after the end of the interlock tests.
- Commissioning of the Loop 8 is ongoing.
- It is pointed out that the access to the tunnels is not managed in a transparent way and is difficult to get reliable information. AV will bring the concern to the XO and DOB.

- The issues with the encorder of the quadrant motion motors are caused by the fact that the encoder cables are too long (30m until the drag chain + 30 m in the drag chain). Right now a workaround exists (cable ground connected to the general ground). Final solution has to be found.
- MPS Box for timing. Some Cpus have to be reboot. No timing problems are expected. In case, BF will send an e mail to readiness.
CAS
- 2.5.0 will be deployed in the tunnels starting from next week
