General Announcement:
- Thanks to instruments that posted at the Operations-2022 e-log. Please make regular entries that allow PRCs to recognize eventual issues that have to be tracked down.
CTRL:
- Nothing to report.
DA:
- Friday there was issues with Data Aggregators processing in several detectors. DOC found it was an issue with the new version. It was fixed by Saturday by working with a separate routing.
This was a bug in the new version (time of template creation). A final fix will be installed in a suitable date.

asked to Theo M.
- SA1 pulse energy was around 4.5mJ; a really good performance.
- Preparing calorimeter in SA1 hutch for experiment.
DET:
- Two OCD calls (one from HED) and one from SPB on a detector. Both fixed by DOC / OCDs.
ITDM:
- Incident on Saturday with influx DB cluster: happened by 3:00AM; started investigating during the morning. By 14:00-15:00 the cluster came back. Data synchronization is ongoing. Not sure yet if there is

Encoder needs to be replaced but one does not have time and human power to do it during the WMP. Exchange will be done during the next Summer maintenance. Also Desy-VAC does not have Pb material to shield
the absorber in the next 6 months.
An alternative for this undulator is to control it with the rotary encoders in the meantime.

General Announcement:
-
CTRL:
- Next week CTRL will upgrade Beckhoff devices containing MC2 loops. This is done to avoid the PLC to crash. This is only Beckhoff devices and is for all tunnels and loops. This is a Karabo devices upgrade
and not the PLCs.
Naresh K. says systems are still needed on Monday morning. A. Galler tells that a ZZ will take place on Wednesday and this may be a better time for the update. XO and Valerii B. will discuss offline.
DA:
- Nothing particular; DOC and OCDs were quiet.
EEE:
- Nothing to report.
VAC:
- Yesterday effect of the power glitch at 15:03. VAC-OCD checked with SCS - the interlock reacted and GATT stopped for a while.
- SCS comments that the problem with GATT gave 300x more photons than expected to the sample and detector. A better safety / interlock is to be prepared.
Raul V. says that topic was first discussed in 2019 with SQS (using the B4C block in the interlock loop for the GATT). It may require interaction from SA3 instruments, VAC, XRO, CTRL.
XPD:
- Small confusion on the SA3 XGMs during the weekend: BKR mixed the SCS and SQS XGM's not working and this triggered a few reactions on the weekend. A better way to do not mix up XGMs will be made.
Please look to the right device before informing experts on possible errors.
DET:
- PnCCD detector is brought back to operation.
ITDM:
- Next week (not yet date) a follow up of the Gitlab update will take place. Mostly likely on Wednesday; details will come by e-mail.
- Update of the GPFS metadata: to be replaced on a time without activity. Shall be transparent.
XRO:

LAS:
- Lost SA1 PP-laser due to change of temperature and humidity at midnight this morning. No information when it will be made available for use.
UNSYS:
- Nothing to report.
SPB:
- Looks fine apart the fact it did get only 188 and not 202 bunches.
FXE:

Ulrike B.
HED:
- All fine at HED.
SCS:
- Nothing else to add.
SQS:
- Successfully brought up pnCCD. It replaced physically one sensor. Reasons for the crash is understood at SQS (bad communication among the involved people). |

- Issue with SA1 PP-laser air conditioning on Tuesday 12.08: T. Clever says an incident in preparation works at D.14 SPB hutch result in valves not been properly closing so that water leaked.
Emergency solution was to shut down the 8C cooling water. Increased temperature in hutches of about 1-2C was measure. After fixing the system the temperatures were back to normal operation.
- A. Galler reminds that this XO integration meeting is the main platform to exchange and receive information between groups.
Please use this platform to share and have discussions between support groups and scientific instruments.

MID:
- Not present.
HED:
- HED had to check and/or entry the motor parameters after the reboot of the control systems that place motors in OFF state.
CTRL informs the information must be stored in the PLCs / Karabo. It is solved but it demanded a lot of work during last week.

Frederik Wolff-Fabris | General | Information | Notes XO Integration Meeting 13.02.2023 |
General Announcement:
- Accelerator downtime on Saturday of 5-6 hours due to a matching capacitor located at the GUN. Work to find the problem and exchange cause this delay and it was the first of this kind since 2016.
CTRL:
- A fix for the device clone is prepared and will deployed today.
- Two issues from weekend being investigated (camera SPB/SFX and PLC) with EEE and CTRL.
DA:
- Data generation for MID: high load during the weekend. Now it was drained.
- Data delay during the weekend was recovered: migration queues were very long and calibration was delayed. Denial of services happened as many works were in the queue.
This was changed and shall not happen anymore. All data taken during the time was processed.
EEE:
- Working on the timeout issue.
- OCD calls for AGIPD motor positions: configs were recovered.
- Scanner issue is not yet clear if mechanical or software related.
VAC:
- Nothing to report.
XPD:
- Preparing for calorimeter measurements at SPB.
- Today supporting BKR to record images.
DET:
- Nothing to report.
ITDM:
- Be aware that last week was not a standard week in Data recording, being a run at the edge of capabilities. Experts are looking to explore other possibilities.
- ITDM expected MID to take a bit higher data but it was really at the edge. Much less calibrated data was generated – efforts by data reduction helped to keep into the edge.
XRO:
- Nothing to report.
LAS:
- Unexplained behavior of ADC in SA2 laser being investigated.
UNSYS:
- Nothing to report.
SPB:
- Did not get the RF window at the beginning. It was enough to get some data by end of the week.
FXE:
- Users were happy last week.
MID:
- Good week and very successful week with user group.
- High duty cycle could be achieved - thanks to DA; reduced due to the high load.
HED:
- Nothing to report; finishing to prepare for this week beam.
SCS:
- Nothing to report; waiting for XTD10 tunnel investigation of the motor.
SQS:
- Nothing to report.
SXP:
- Nothing to report. |
