General Announcement:
-

CTRL:
- Next week CTRL will upgrade Beckhoff devices containing MC2 loops. This is done to avoid the PLC to crash. This is only Beckhoff devices and is for all tunnels and loops. This is a Karabo devices upgrade
and not the PLCs.
Naresh K. says systems are still needed on Monday morning. A. Galler tells that a ZZ will take place on Wednesday and this may be a better time for the update. XO and Valerii B. will discuss offline.

DA:
- Nothing particular; DOC and OCDs were quiet.

EEE:
- Nothing to report.

VAC:
- Yesterday effect of the power glitch at 15:03. VAC-OCD checked with SCS - the interlock reacted and GATT stopped for a while.
- SCS comments that the problem with GATT gave 300x more photons than expected to the sample and detector. A better safety / interlock is to be prepared.
Raul V. says that topic was first discussed in 2019 with SQS (using the B4C block in the interlock loop for the GATT). It may require interaction from SA3 instruments, VAC, XRO, CTRL.

XPD:
- Small confusion on the SA3 XGMs during the weekend: BKR mixed the SCS and SQS XGM's not working and this triggered a few reactions on the weekend. A better way to do not mix up XGMs will be made.
Please look to the right device before informing experts on possible errors.

DET:
- PnCCD detector is brought back to operation.

ITDM:
- Next week (not yet date) a follow up of the Gitlab update will take place. Mostly likely on Wednesday; details will come by e-mail.
- Update of the GPFS metadata: to be replaced on a time without activity. Shall be transparent.

XRO:
- Nothing to report.

LAS:
- Lost SA1 PP-laser due to change of temperature and humidity at midnight this morning. No information when it will be made available for use.

UNSYS:
- Nothing to report.

SPB:
- Looks fine apart the fact it did get only 188 and not 202 bunches.

FXE:
- Nothing to report.

MID:
- All fine at MID - experiment running smooth; seeded beam running well. Only issue that Gotthard in tunnel has triggered Big Brother a couple of times. It was not a real signal. Naresh K. will talk to
Ulrike B.

HED:
- All fine at HED.

SCS:
- Nothing else to add.

SQS:
- Successfully brought up pnCCD. It replaced physically one sensor. Reasons for the crash is understood at SQS (bad communication among the involved people).

- Issue with SA1 PP-laser air conditioning on Tuesday 12.08: T. Clever says an incident in preparation works at D.14 SPB hutch result in valves not been properly closing so that water leaked.
Emergency solution was to shut down the 8C cooling water. Increased temperature in hutches of about 1-2C was measure. After fixing the system the temperatures were back to normal operation.
- A. Galler reminds that this XO integration meeting is the main platform to exchange and receive information between groups.
Please use this platform to share and have discussions between support groups and scientific instruments.

General Announcement:
- Machine tried the switch between 24 and 20keV at SA1 during the weekend: it was tuned 24keV at 280uJ max.;
after changes only around 150-200uJ was found and recovery took many hours. Therefore we will run for this week at 20keV for SA1 instruments.

CTRL:
- InfluxDB issue is done.

- SA3 PP-laser: the water and humidity in the diode was removed/ dried. Today LAS will evaluate if no humidity is found to start up laser today.

UNSYS:
- Issue with SA3 motors in undulator segments (2 motors in different positions) were solved.
- Three errors in SA2 were solved by the BKR.

SPB:
- For 20keV intensity after tuning was about 500uJ.
- Helped XRO for the FD week: small issues were solved.

FXE:
- Nothing to report; commissioning going successful.

MID:
- Ticket to CTRL on the last MID Tunnel imager was sent during the weekend (software problem) and is being investigated. A. Koch saying that changing the GUI shall restore the system.
Wajid E. says a bug was fixed and also a work around can be applied. Alberto de Fanis also reports that this has also seen in SQS. Needs further investigation from CTRL.

HED:
- Not present.

SCS:
- Moving the chamber will likely happen on Wednesday (needs Hall crew support).

General Announcement:
- A power glitch happened on the weekend but had no effects on the machine. So far XO is not made aware of effects at XFEL. Please let XO know if you were affected.

CTRL:
- Nothing to report.

DA:
- Unfortunately the CAL noticed the past week that issues related to the upgrades in the maintenance period, which result in disturbances across most instruments with beam last week.
A new version of the online correction software meant to be installed then and tested during the bring-up days, but the old version ended up still running at most of them.
When bug fixes found since then were meant to be distributed in the past two weeks as we commonly do, this inadvertently also switched these to the new version, the last time on last Tuesday.
This was particularly aggravated by the fact the new version has some minor naming and UX changes, which the instruments had to adapt to now during operation.
Most issues reported through the DOC have been hot-fixed already, with more fixes prepared over the weekend. The DOC will contact instruments to apply these as needed.

EEE:
- FXE mono mitigation is in place and working.

VAC:
- Nothing to report.

XPD:
- Remarks on SA1 HIREX interlocks over the weekend has been addressed. Naresh K. is contact with XO, SPB/SFX and FXE.

- Nothing to report.

XRO:
- Not present.

LAS:
- Working on SPB side and performance improvements were done.

UNSYS:
- Everything is fine.

SPB:
- Calibration issues as mentioned by DA. It is an operational risk for AGIPD until it is clear what happens with the calibration/errors.

FXE:
- Nothing to report apart of the Mono.

MID:
- All fine at MID. Calibration is not a big problem for MID as they do not use AGIPD.

HED:
- In contact with DOC to reset some ADCs.

SCS:
- Not present.

SQS:
- Not present.

SXP:
- Nothing to report.
  151   12 Aug 2020, 10:52 Frederik Wolff-FabrisGeneralInformationNotes XO Integration Meeting 12.08.2020
General Announcement:
- Andreas G. thanks all instruments that have so far sent back to XO the cw35 Beam Delivery tables and reminds the missing ones to do so until Thursday (tomorrow).
- Jan G., as PRC, informs the access to SQS shutter will probably happen on next week. In case of possibility during this week he will directly inform the respective persons.
- Steve A. mentions on the timing related issues: it has been investigated with the help of instruments.
- XO asks groups for any time feedback on issues related to Covid rules, e.g. amount of masks.
- Jan G. informs several members of XPD team (and also CTRL and ITDM personnel) will be working at PetraIII while performing beamtime, from Thursday until mid-next week.

CTRL:
- Activities on GATT: Follow-up of Karabo update shows incompatibility with new version. CTRL, Raul and XO rolled back to the previous version and it works again.
- At around 8:00pm a notification service in SASE3 was sent: watchdogs went in unexpected state.

DA:
- Nothing special to report.

EEE:
- Today we bring back the crate for MID/STL and we start with HED requested changes.
- XO thanks Nerea on yesterday's work of Interlock conditions for the solid attenuators in the tunnels.
To protect the silicon screen first one has to insert the diamond screens. Nerea J. says this is in the motion loops and not EPS.

VAC:
- Raul V. thanks for the quick reaction of CTRL and XO to solve the code of GATT (which is 2.5years old).
If we have a chance during the next winter shutdown a change on the software system will be planned to permit the use of new Karabo versions.
- VAC has requested a couple of ZZ's for next days/weeks: on SQS shutter and other devices inspections.

XPD:
- No incidents since Monday to be reported. However, last Saturday there was a downtime on the XTD1/XGM due to a high voltage setting.
Probable cause was a wrong command at the DOOCS server. XPD believes it was a onetime incident and will look into it if it happens again.

DET:
- Working with Jungfrau in SPB; DSSC in SQS/SCS.
- Supporting other groups' activities.

ITDM:
- The DAQ update has been finished: so far it looks good.
- ITDM is ready to act but waits for more clarifications on the SRP requested work on Interlock.

XRO:
- Not present - group has helped with solid attenuators activities.

LAS:
- Everything is running and interlock is set.

UNSYS:
- Nothing to report.

SPB:
- Detector program ongoing with Junfgrau and AGIPD.

FXE:
- A ZZ was done to switch off the M3 cooling. The jitter has then reduced from 295u (RMS) to about 211u. FXE considers this only moderate jitter and will proceed with commissioning.
- Feedback system is fixed with parameters configurations – we are following it up to find when this was changed (if so).

MID:
- Issues with feedback Macro are observed and Robert S. investigates together with MID.

HED:
- Not present.

SCS:
- Not present.

SQS:
- Nothing to report.
