- The access and maintenance day is taking place today. Current ZZs at the accelerator are scheduled until 10AM and then it follows the tuning for cw38 beam delivery that starts from tomorrow at 7AM.
- Martin Doering announces that next Monday 25.09 a short presentation on the 2023 Winter Maintenance will be made in this meeting series.
Please a representative from every group is welcome to be present. The Maintenance task list is going to be send to instrument and support groups next week.
- As PRC, Jan reports so far the week looks good. Downtime from Mond-Tue of 1:15 which is being looked today at tunnel (LINAC);

- On last week's cryogenic failure at the machine: the root cause is tracked to a failed temperature sensor that bring down several pumps.

Change of parameters must not occur (for the ones which are stored in Beckhoff). Nevertheless, it is good for groups to check parameters that are not stored.

- Regarding Operation, VAC and PRC had a workaround to restore the North branch beam permission on Sunday.
- XTD9 Turnstiles were not working this morning for ZZ access planned by FXE.
During the meeting we heard the information that Michael Prollius / SRP has fixed it by rebooting the computer.
CTRL:
- Since Wednesday CTRL had one OCD call regarding the SA3/GATT gauges and controller configuration.
- SQS server - issues with interactions. Work ongoing.
- INFLUX roll out: test on CAS monitor topic is successful. For the double loggers, there will be an impact of 5-10 minutes down time when login.
This will happen on FXE (2x10min without data): it is OK for FXE and for LAS today. IF that is successful, CTRL will contact other instruments.

- It has been working on the follow-up of HED topics.
- EEE OCD had a call on the SA3/GATT gauge controller.
VAC:
- Severe trouble with SA3 GATT: damage on the gauge controllers was a result of series of problems.
- Bearing of a downstream booster pump make vibration and developed two leaks; then pressure went bad;
vacuum gauges showed wrong numbers and resulting in electronic damage in the controller cards.
- The booster pump was exchanged on Friday; on Sunday a leak test found a broken vacuum welding and part was removed.
Currently ZM3 at Desy is fixing it. Expected to be ready for tunnel installation by 10AM.
- Sunday from 13:00: the GATT was in UHV mode to allow beam permission and lasing in SA1 and SA3 up to Monday 6AM.
- Currently XTD10 is open for GATT repair and PES exchange of turbo pump.
- CTRL mailing service worked quite well: an alarm e-mail of GATT fault was sent every 12 hours.
XPD:
- SA3/XGM valve was also OFF on Friday. Martin Dommach will contact Theo while in tunnel.

General Announcement:
- XO Integration Meeting will not take place next Friday 22.05 due to the bridge holiday.
- MPS group shared some info on the SA1 emergency power off event that happened last week. Further investigations are ongoing.
- No conflicts have been reported for the activities on control network systems.
- Today 20.05 is the deadline for the groups to send via e-mail the updated summer shutdown tasks.
- MXL/Desy has planned to start on next Saturday and Sunday the SA2 photon search and operation.
CTRL:
- CTRL works together with XPD in the Doocs images for the IMG devices. A new control update will be deployed. The data is no longer corrupted.
- Today CTRL is deploying Karabo9 at MID. This serves as a small scale test prior the deployment on the other parts/groups of EuXFEL.
During the summer shutdown it will be deployed at the BKR photon computers.

The gas bottle has to be exchanged and an access request is placed.

- Five undulators in SA3 have faulty encoders and are not moving after a power cut on 06.12 (seen in history of local PLCs - happened from cell14 to cells23). Reason for power down is not known. The power
was ON from cell1-13.
- Replacement of linear encoders are not possible with vacuum chamber between girders as needs alignment.
- First UNSYS will try to operate with rotatory encoders, if does not succeed, segments will be taken out.
- There are 4 spare encoders to repair 3 segments. Delivery time for new spares is 3-4 Months.
- Needs investigation to discover reason for the power outage in cells#14-23.
- Cell 33 in SA2 is fully operational.

- A Vacuum issue in one of the dumps brought machine down at around 1:30AM. Only around 7AM machine could re-start running and tuning again.

- Problems with tunnels last night at around 1:00AM. More than half the shift was lost with no beam delivery: main user data was therefore not acquired.

- During the weekend, beam drift was observed at Pop-in at the end of the tunnel. There are data and has to be analyzed.

- Minor issue with Data: one data aggregator was not working properly. OCD and SQS personnel have solved it.

- One hiccup was an issue with Cluster on Saturday night. That remain for 5-6 hours but was fixed by K. Wrona, who says that it is linked to the high number of created files.
He increased it by a factor 10 to solve the issue. There are possibilities for improvements that will be discussed among HED, DA and ITDM. Similar experiment will happen again in two weeks.
SCS:

- Machine accelerator startup is ongoing. Photons are being produced and operators are working hard to improve conditions.
- When summer maintenance started in mid-June some instruments' staff were entirely gone and none were available to open hutches, which delayed some tasks.
