- On 23.01 there is the Interlock tests at XHEXP1.
- Zunaira A. asks for one experimental hutch in all SASEs (optics hutch can also be) to be closed for tomorrow to check some signals for tunnels. Hutches need to be closed at around 09:30-10:00.
SQS accepts to interlock the hutch. MID also says it is possible but a precise time needs to be communicated.
- On 17-18.January the 5Hz operation will happen. Needed groups are already informed and tests shall be transparent for the instruments. Tim Wilksen will prepare a schedule to be distributed as soon as
available.

CTRL:
- Influx DB: two nodes are available. A 6-month policy notice is the one to be used by Karabo. An e-mail will be sent.

DA:
- Nothing to report.
EEE:
- SA2 lost power on the 31.01. The CPUs in the instruments were not affected; the CPU in SA2 laser was affected and parameters had to be reset. Impression is that UPS did not act. EEE needs more
information.
- A. Galler says that it relates to the broken UPS in SA2 area. A possible automatic check run/done by MPS triggered the emergency OFF. A new battery for the UPS is ordered and it is to be delivered in
future.

VAC:
- All relevant tasks for WMP are closed.

XPD:
- XPD would like to continue in XTD9 and XTD6 after the interlock tests to conclude minor activities.

DET:
- Nothing to report.

ITDM:
- Reminder to all instruments and support groups: finish accessing and closing the proposals (deadline has already passed) before they will be discarded.

LAS:
- Bringing lasers back up. In SA2 there was a rough start due to the power OFF but seems all in good track.

UNSYS:
- SA3 undulators: rotary encoders could be used to control the undulator gaps.
- Suren K. informs that partially recovered encoders for the 3 upstream segments. Spare parts for the next two devices will arrive in some months. Root cause for the SA3 power issue is not understood.
Undulators can be operated.
- Power distribution terminals in SA2 (2 units) and 1 unit in SA1 needed replacements.

and further communication will be sent.
- On next Saturday 11.Dec tunnels between Osdorf-Born and XHEXP1 will also be closed in the context of the fire extinguisher maintenance.
It is also reminded that all Schenefeld campus buildings are inaccessible and only SRP, TS and external company are allowed in the site.

XRO:
- Proceeding with maintenance planned tasks.
- Reminder on the delayed installation of the XTD2 new bender for SA1 because of problems with cooling/ air conditioning at the labs.
- XTD9 distribution mirror M3 for SA1: XRO noticed the soft limits were changed and position of one mirror was different.
Changes in soft limits may be related to power cut; XRO has changed back to the proper values but this has to be checked again during re-start of operation.

2. Machine worked nicely during the weekend (only 1 downtime due to cryo OK for around 1 hour);
3. on FRI afternoon MID close the pre-absorber and background signal was seen in the AGIPD - it was clarified by PRC and XRO that the pre-shutter does not provide a full stop for beam, just protecting
electronics from intense beam.

CTRL:

DA:
- FXE mini-LPD issues during commissioning are being addressed.

EEE:

ITDM:
- Issue with performance of online data storage at MID: if AGIPD is set in full speed mode during several hours the cache gets full and needs a break.
This happened yesterday and by 6PM MID decided to stop for 3 hs until cache was emptied (reason for such long time was sample related; cache can be emptied faster).
To be in safe side is better to stay with cache filled by 50%. A new system from IBM with double performance is ordered and shall be available during the summer.

XRO:
- ZZ is ongoing for the Exit slit.

  118   08 May 2020, 16:44 Frederik Wolff-FabrisGeneralInformationNotes XO Integration Meeting 08.05.2020
General Announcement:

- Q&A session with SRP/Tobias Haas:
1. External companies have to provide self-assessment to show they have measures in place that comply with EuXFEL regulations on safety related to Covid-19.
The EuXFEL online training is installed at the gate house and the companies have to make the Covid-19 training. EuXFEL groups have to inform the external companies.
Slides of the training will be provided to the groups for being send to the external companies.
2. One has to observe the maximum occupancy of each room and follow the EuXFEL training. If you stick to the max occupancy, you can work without masks in case minimal
distance is respected - otherwise mask is mandatory. For control hutches we admit only 2 persons.
3. SRP finds a good idea and encourages instruments to implement additional measures for the hutches that e.g. cover use of tools, computers and/or disinfection
procedures.
Nevertheless, such extra local rules must not overrule the EuXFEL rules covered in the training.
Extra regulations shall be printed and make available at doors, for example. Responsible for rooms and and hutches or local staff must make sure these additional
regulations are explained and followed.
4. EuXFEL will not provide PPE to external companies.
5. Tobias will check with MB if EuXFEL has to provide PPE to DESY employees. In principle, EuXFEL applies the same rules as DESY.
6. There is currently no decision on which rules apply to external visitors regarding the summer shutdown. We assume initially they will not be able to come.
SRP encourages groups to send questions to health@xfel.eu and the Covid-19 task force will discuss the matter.
7. There is no decision yet if the FFP-2 masks will be disposed after use or treated for re-use. Initially EuXFEL assume they will be disposed.
It is yet unclear how long time a mask can be used before loosing efficiency. The slides presented at staff meetings contain suggestions in how to use the masks.

- General: There is no current issues to be discussed today regarding the tunnel access and related work;

- General: No issues have been pointed on the control network activities scheduled for next week.
XPD must send to CTRL information on when a test of a shutter valve of gas supply will take place (still to be defined) in order to test the notification service.

SPB:
- Drift of horizontal beam position was observed on the weekend and reported to the DOC which provided a tool to diagnostic the drift. SPB/SFX would like to thank the DOC
for the availability.
Beam pointing was changing every hour and was difficult to keep into M1 and M2. Theo M. says the XGM drift happened in the horizontal by many mm. DOC can not solve and
then contacted Optics group.
The observed drift seemed to be too big to be compensated. Richard B. says the movement was seen from XTD9 XGM and was a fast drift.
Andreas G. will address communication channels between DOC/DRC and PRC (PRC was not informed).

FXE:

This takes into account the damage threshold of the total pulse energy of photon beam. Above a limit it will drive beam to 0 bunches.
Only installed at the FEL IMG and in case of questions please contact Andreas Koch.

DET:
- On Friday there is was a timing shift for pulse resolved detectors for SA2. That also appears with AGIPD.
Jolanta S.-D. says that at MID the shift is at 9 clocks; at HED is up to 15 clocks (thus around 100-138ns) when comparing to September, and depending on detector positions.
An enquire with machine has to be done if it relates to BAM or another device.
