General Announcement:
- On Accessing EuXFEL premises at Schenefeld: it is no longer necessary to present the test result at the Gate; it is necessary to present the QR code for vaccination/recovery as well as the DACHS card at
the new terminal. For non-vaccinated people an official test certificate is mandatory.

CTRL:

DA:
- Nothing special to report.

EEE:
- On Saturday EEE had to exchange a fuse at a MID motor (motor burned).

VAC:
- Nothing to report.

XPD:

- A. Galler reported that for SA2 the interlock conditions for the upstream filters in SA2 are temporarily lifted allowing to go to 350 bunches (limit is 300 bunches). This is an exception that is valid
until tomorrow.

DET:
- Nothing to report; IT group is working to increase space for data.

ITDM:
- It collected 2.2 Petabytes of raw data for one user (MID) plus the same amount of calibrated data and there is still one day of beam delivery until tomorrow. Also SPB produced about another 1 Petabyte.
- If such requirements are needed in future please communicate to ITDM well in advance, largely more than one week before.
- A. Madsen says that the reason such big amount of data relates to an exceptionally well run, so it is difficult to predict how many data will be collected. K. Wrona says the communication went very well
this week. M. Turcato also says that when many detectors are running in parallel.
- Further discussions on this topic will take place.

- Issue with calibration pipeline with AGIPD is under investigation (performance of the pipeline is not the expected one). P. Schmidt says that used calibration can not be fully supported on the weekend so
a fix can't be delivered in short time. In such cases it is better to use the old version.
- K. Wrona say one can plan for the maximum expected of acquired data but needs to have full resources for it. The current week was an exception. If one needs similar conditions like the current week it is
a big challenge.
- M. Sikorski completes that about 2-3 weeks before they can have an idea of how much data will be generated.

FXE:
- Nothing to report. M. Biednov says that they work at 9.3 keV that machine performance was poor and that would need to retune on Tuesday (about 1.5mJ).

General Announcement:
- XO thank the effort made by preparing the activity lists for the maintenance period. In few cases XO is contacting groups back with questions and/or comments.
- The Winter maintenance period was adjusted yesterday. The ending period is now on January 13th, 2021, instead of January 4th.

CTRL:
- CTRL is reaching conclusions on recent Beckhoff problems:
1. CTRL would like to upgrade most of installations in instruments next week (upgrade of motors software). This upgrade is in general a step forward for the PLC
connections when it is dropped (re-starting).
2. For SASE installations, CTRL will make next week during machine days.
3. The GATT will not be upgraded now – this will start during Winter maintenance period. Upgrade of GATT is a priority for CTRL (has been added to the maintenance list
submitted to XO).

DA:
- Nothing to report.

EEE:
- Intervention in SA3 PP-laser was done.

VAC:
- No new issues to report.
- Maintenance on SA3 vacuum loop: in case of problems, one has to restart in PLC level with EEE staff and may result a bit longer recovery.
Steffen H. comments it has been worked on and may be solved in the next day or so. The restart procedure is easy but lengthy. CTRL/OCD knows what to do.

XPD:
- One of vacuum pumps lost Beckhoff connection.

General Announcement:
- A power glitch was detected at around 05:50AM today and it was transparent for the machine. Please check your systems are also running normally.
- A reminder will be sent to xo-info for the deadline to submit the winter maintenance task list.

CTRL:
- CTRL was able to reproduce the issue locally at the Imager and the work on a fix is ongoing.

DA:
- Nothing to report.

EEE:
- Nothing to report.

VAC:
- Nothing to report.

XPD:
- Issue with SA3 FEL IMAGER yesterday morning: a damage to the YAG was found and it was adjusted to a new position.
A reminder for SA3 instruments: please look at the watchdogs and at higher photon intensities it is preferable to start with the Diamond screen for tuning purposes.

DET:
- Nothing to report.

ITDM:
- Nothing to report.

XRO:
- Nothing to report.

LAS:
- Nothing to report.

UNSYS:
- Issue with a stuck phase shifter in SA3 / cell16 was solved by a ZZ by placing a spare motor. Cause is likely due to radiation damage.
Purchase of Lead shields are ordered and will be delivered next year.

SPB:
- Nothing to report.

FXE:
- Yesterday it contacted operators to discuss the RF window for SA1 which was set shorter than the requested.
- No further information on the "ghost" beam last week. It was seen only in the detector placed at the beam when SA2 or SA3 were set to zero bunches.

MID:
- Trouble with hexapod during the weekend, which revealed to be broken. It was removed yesterday and is impacting the sample motion. A workaround is being put in place.
- New monitoring for Agipd gets stuck with calibration. DA is looking into it.

HED:
- Nothing to report.

SCS:
- Not present.

SQS:
- Installing spectrometer during this and next week.
  162   21 Sep 2020, 16:06 Frederik Wolff-FabrisGeneralInformationNotes XO Integration Meeting 21.09.2020
General Announcement:
- Last week issue with Oracle database upgrade was fixed by effort during the night. People entered tunnel by ZZ after this communication issue was fixed.

CTRL:
- It is planned to happen a Data loggers update today.
- Time server update: related to a bug which happened twice in five years. It will be carried out today afternoon (after XPD beamtime) or tomorrow morning.
- A. Galler asks on updates on pulse pattern decoder: Steffen H. says it is ready to be deployed and tested.

DA:
- DA received only one OCD call last week: no specific issues during the week.

EEE:
- XO informs that the ATT interlock PLC update will be done tomorrow (22.09) morning.

VAC:
- OCD call on Friday from MID related to the cryocooler of monochromator: it was clear issue was related to the power supply. TS was involved to solve the problem by
exchanging cryocooler.
VAC informs the OCD number to be dialed is 9-4900 and not 4900.

XPD:
- It was observed problems with SA2/XGM spinning motor gauges.

DET:
- Nothing special: quiet week.

ITDM:
- There is a problem with SASE2 online data storage. It happens data were not migrated from Schenefeld to Desy or it was very slow which in turn affected MID. Partially
solved by making system live.
- ITDM needs to diagnose the GPFS filesystem in SASE2 in order to understand the issues we experienced over the weekend. This may lead to some instabilities or even
unavailability of the SASE2 online data storage.
- XO suggests ITDM to coordinate separately with MID and HED.

XRO:
- Nothing to report.

LAS:
- SA3 had power drops and today LAS makes tests regarding Daniel Rivas info.
- SA1 currently replacing laser diode and updating uTCA system.
- SA2 nothing to report.

UNSYS:
- Terminals for SA2/cell31 have arrived and are ready to be installed in next ZZ access.
- Problem with air coil in SA3/cell12 this morning will be taken care.

SPB:
- Commissioning last week using 5 keV beam.

FXE:
- Mono commissioning.

MID:
- Recovered vacuum issue on cryocooler on SAT morning with help from TS. Beam was back on Saturday morning (+-10AM).
- Timing tests were running on Friday by EEE. MID waits for results to be analyzed. Train-ID issue seems to be progressing and many people work on it.

HED:
- User beamtime was very successful. Stability was very good.
- Pulse on demand test aimed to be able to have single PP shot synchronized with FEL. Today from 10AM CTRL and LAS will temporarily change bunch pattern (communicated to
the PRC).
No need for X-ray beam to the hutch.

SCS:
- No special issues to report.

SQS:
- Two weeks ago the monochromator was used. X-ray beam was twinkling and not reproducible. Seems to be connected to higher heat load when using 300 pulses.
SQS says that this needs to be addressed when beam is back again.
