Jan Grünert | XTD2 | Information | Status of several XTD2 wiring tasks - on behalf of Bernard Baranasic | Dear all,
today I connected XGM Gas Supply to Beckhoff terminals in WP73 Vacuum crate in Rack 1.3.
On Gas Panel, HUBA gauge is still not replaced, so it is not connected, I talked to Florian yesterday and give him an idea how we can connect this gauge and other signals for Gebäudeleittechnik (trough wago terminals).
Next step for this crate should be connection to all pump controllers and other vacuum equipment, after this crate should be connected to the tunnel vacuum loop. I assume that Torben and Marc can do this together with AE and Vacuum group, so I didn't take any actions...
Additionally in this crate we should connect Inhibit signal from HV iseg crate, for this we need to add:
Proposal from NC:
"I did not test it, to 'create' a TTL we can use either
es9505+es2624 or es9505+es2124
the only difference is that the ES2124 is short-circuit proof, the ES2624 is not, that means that in this case a Flink fuse ~0.3A-0.5A should be inserted."
- WP74 don't have these terminal here and if we order now it will take some time (I am not sure what to do because we don't have proven connection).
In Rack 1.7 I connected Inhibit connection to WP73 vacuum crate (terminals EL9505 & EL2624), but cable from MPOD crate to Beckhoff crate is still not there. Torben said that he has connectors so I believe he can connect according to electrical drawings (these pages are added to XTD2 MCP drawings on Alfresco)
In Rack 1.5 I tested FEL imager EPS switch and find out that Beckhoff terminal DI (ES1008) is not working (24V is on input, but there is no light on LED, all channels are the same).
EPS switch is removed From FEL imager, and I will reconnect it to Normal Open connection.
Best Regards,

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status of Differential Pumping | Post on behalf of R. Villanueva
please find attached the updated status of the Differential Pumping
Modules in SASE 1. Just a few comments.
1. As you can imagine, no progress after KW4 in XTD2: system is ready to
deploy Karabo.
2. In XTD9, we have been pushing forward to finish the local test with AE.
Right now, everything has passed the local test except 3 vacuum gauges
that will be rechecked after the meeting. The main reasons for the little
progress (84%----->87%) are:
a) more problems than expected with the cabling.
b) a faulty Beckhoff Terminal.
c) prioritization of manpower (AE and VG) in other devices in the
tunnel.
d)....the usual "sigmoidal" behavior of this kind of process.... ;)
3. In any case we aim to leave the system ready tomorrow so next week the
interlock code can be deployed safely.
Have a nice evening,

Monica Aresté | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/SASE3 Readiness meeting | General
- Beam was lost due to incident with electron beam hitting & damaging components downstream of the northern dump.
- Goal is to stablish proper conditions for the beam again, last week seemed much better. On Wednesday this week it is expected to have stable beam conditions and sufficient pulse energy for next experiments.
SASE1 Instruments
- SPB :
- Several persistant problems with Karabo that affect DAQ and Detector. Detector failed on Saturday triggered by the Karabo issues, it took long to recover since a complete power cycle of the Detector was required (30 minutes).
- CAS is working to fix the problems.
Tunnels
- SASE1:
- Beam shutter closed during FXE shift, the reasons are not clear. M. Dommach and L. Samoylova to investigate to solve this issue.
Electronics
- MPS Interlock for SPB tested but not switched on. Agreed to switch on this Tuesday.
ITDM
- ITDM report that FXE experienced some problems with the DAQ but they did not inform ITDM . The Experiment team decided to continue and try to figure out by themselves. ITDM and FXE to discuss how to improve the communication for next time.
- Next experiments require Gotthard & LPD in parallel operation ==> to merge Gotthard & LPD to same run control ITDM needs some time to test. Agreed to carry out the tests Tuesday and Wednesday this week, also fine for SPB.

Monica Aresté | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/SASE3 Readiness meeting | General
- T. Tschentscher inform about Management Board priorities for the October shut down:
- Management Board Priority 1 after the Oct shutdown will be the characterization for SASE1 performance. Any still necessary development for this (MCP, HIrex operation; two-way functional DOOCS-Karabo interface and data exchange; etc.) should get highest priority during the shutdown period. It would be good to achieve substantial progress with the DOOCS-Karabo interface before the MAC meeting to avoid general bashing of our controls. The instruments will provide a detailed list to permit support groups (ITDM, CAS, AE) to plan resources.
- Priority 2: SASE3 completion. It is expected that the machine will anyway be able to reach lasing at SASE3, but this has lower priority at present.
SASE1 Instruments
- SPB :
- No major issues to report
- FXE:
- In the next days FXE will work in the commissioning of Gothard & LPD in parallel operation to be ready to test with beam on Saturday.
Electronics
- MPS Interlock for SPB already switched on.
- No further issues to report.
ITDM
- Users have no access to on-line DAQ. They can use off-line cluster, the transfer is 5 min. after the end of the run.
- Out of the shift scientist should work with off-line cluster.
Safety
- There is a new procedure for tunnel access. Accelerator areas will have to be measured by Safety group before tunnel access release.

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | General
- From now on progress with the SASE3 tunnel will be monitored in this meeting
FXE (A. Galler)
- Work is going on to be ready for the start of instrument commissioning of Sunday
- Currently the LPD movement is being tested
- Today the firmware for the vacuum interlock system is being deployed
SPB (M. Messerschmidt)
- All inputs needed for the vacuum interlocks can now be read out
- Karabo was migrated to version 2.1.12. This appears to have some fixes for reading out cameras, but the GUI becomes unusable after ca. 10 min. Hence the version had to be rolled back to 2.1.11. This generated a lot of extra work
- The test of the emergency off system was done this week. In preparation the PLCs were shut down to avoid damage. Bringing the system back was a significant effort. This should be getting less as more and more parameters are migrated to the firmware
- A partial test of the MPOD power supplies was done in preparation for the AGIPD commissioning. Unfortunately some Wiener power supplies still have an older firmware that appears to produce voltage spikes when ramping up. This could damage the detector. Hence a firmware upgrade is needed. But no Windows PC was available on the controls network. The respective card was dismounted and taken to the lab for upgrading by K.-E. Ballack
Tunnel Installations SASE3 (M. Dommach)
- A lot of installation work was carried out during the service period last week
- All Day 1 devices are in place
- A lot of missing connections were made (water, pressurized air)
- Calbing was done for the imagers
- The Solid Attenuator was assembled
- There are still two vacuum leaks, one of them is on top of the dump. This may have to wait for the next service period in August
- Focus during the next service period in August:
- Install missing connection pieces and bellows in order to close the entire vacuum
- Start bringing up Beckhoff loops with support from AE
- Bring up as many components as possible
- For the comments made by WP74/J. Grünert, see the respective log book entry today
Laser
- After a number of fixes and adjustments the AC parameters (Humidity/Temperature) are now according to specs
LPD
- LPD is now fully installed in FXE
- Work on the DAQ system starts next week
- Next step for AGIPD in HERA-S is to get the DAQ system working. After this the detector will be brought to SPB
- K. Wrona would like to cross check the configuration in HERA-S before this happens
AE
- Work focussed this week on getting the remaining SPB loops up, in particular loops 12 and 5
- For loop 12 a number of modules had to be taken out, modified and brought back. This relates to the operation of so-called SMARAGD motors
- Originally it was planned to test the vacuum interlock system in SPB first. This requires inter-loop communication and there are still unused loops in SPB
- Due to the problems with loop 12, it was decided to do the tests in FXE.
- The firmware for the FXE interlock should be deplyed today
- A meeting was held with MPS to clarify the interface between XFEL and MPS sind the MPS system cannot distinguish between the branch beam lines. This can now be handled by logic inside the PLC
- AE is preparing for the support of SASE3 during the next service period
CAS
- For more details see the detailed slides presented by S. Brockhauser during the meeting

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | General
- The focus of activities next week for the AE and vacuum groups is on getting as much done in XTD10 as possible. There is a conflict with the aim to bring AGIPD to SPB and start commissioning. A lot of preparatory work was done for the latter this week already. Nevertheless this conflict needs to be monitored carefully. There will be a daily stand up meeting at 11:30 in front of the MCR to monitor the ongoing work. The SASE1 displatch meetings on Monday and Wednesday at 09:30 are correspondingly cancelled
FXE
- Philipp Lang reported on the status of the LPD commissioning. The detector is essentially ready to take data with 14 out of 16 super modules on the weekend. A few software issues remain but should not stop the activities.
- FXE is working on commissioning their greateyes camera
- Loop 7 needed to be re-worked for the van Hamos spectrometer
- Work is stil required for the Alio stage in the monochromater in XTD9. This will probably not be ready for first user operation.
- During the shutdown week work will focus on getting the instrument laser hutch going with the Tangerine laser. After the XFEL beam is back, first pump-probe experiments should be possible
- This afternoon radiation safety tests with 30 bunches and different materials shall take place
SPB
- One SmarACT motor is now running. The problem was identified as a combination of a connection and a Karabo issue
- The next step is to reconnect the remaining motors correctly and then all SmarACT motors should be operational (The firmware is set up for all)
- Updates need to be done for loop 5 (AGIPD chiller) and loop 7 (interlock). Since this can only be done after 1500 once the sample chamber is vented, this work was postponed to Monday
- SPB also provided an updated priority list to AE in order to fine tune the remaining work until user operation
Detectors
- Moving AGIPD will start early on Monday and the detector shall arrive in SPB around lunch time
- Immediate works shall be mechanical, connection of vacuum, chillers, power and cooling.
- A. Sztuk points out that the integration plan from SPB is very optimistic
Tunnels
- The goal of next week is to get the vacuum and the imagers into the PLC and eventually KARABO controls
- Detailed schedule planning was unfortunately stopped yesterday due to the fire next door but will be done today
- There is a scheduled power outage next week in the tunnels. Here is the respective email with information.
- The problem with the fast valves in SASE1 (spurious trips of the interlock) has not re-occured after the controllers were exchanged. They have been sent to the manufacturer
Laser
- Progress was set back last week due to un-announced work on the 11 C cooling circuit. This necessitated a re-alignment of the lasers
- Otherwise commissioning work in SASE1 is progressing
Electronics
- The points discussed are included with the affected groups
Software
- The storage for images from the cameras in the tunnels was changed due to a disk space crisis. Currently 150TB are available. This should be enough for some time
- CAS support for XTD10 work is need only after Thursday next week once the PLC work is done
- Karabo 2.1.14 was released. Currently 2.1.13 is deployed.
- Currently the data from LPD cannot be archived. Work on this topic was stopped yesterday due to the fire. Should happend today

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | Software:
- CAS meets with SPB and FXE on a daily basis to fine tune progression towards user operation
- A list of required deliverables for user operation has been agreed between CAS and SPB/FXE (see slide 5 in presentation by H. Santos attached to these minutes)
- The list has been associated with Karabo releases and dates
- These dates and respective progress needs to be monitored continuously as the schedule is very tight
SPB
- AGIPD installation is progressing according to plan.
- Next steps are data taking and then the exchange of the detector modules by the consortium
- SmarACT stages in the sample chamber started working yesterday but it is not understood why they are working now while they were not working before
FXE
- Work continues on van Hamos integrations
- Next step is integration with the Tangerine laser
Tunnel Installations
- This week the focus was on SASE3 installation in XTD10
- The vacuum group closed almost all gaps
- A lot of cabling was completed
- Local tests together with AE are being carried out on the vacuum components
- MCP was delivered with too short bellows so this could not be connected
- XGM is connected on one side only
- The Diagnostics group brought PES into the tunnel
- 5/10 imagers are operational. 2 more are almost done
Laser
- Work is back on track after the cooling water incident 10 days ago
- AC controls are ok but the air flow is too high for laser operation
Electronics
- A lot of progress was made in the course of AGIPD integration in SPB (Chiller working, Gate Valve working. interlocks working and tested)
- A smaller effort was done for FXE (Some support for LPD and re-integration of van Hamos)
- Tests of the vacuum components in XTD10 are still ongoing and continue through Monday morning
- A new email with associated ticketing has been set up: ae-support@xfel.eu

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | General
- T. Haas conveys the congratulations of the management
- for the achievements in installing and commissioning the AGIPD in SPB
- for the progress made with installations in XTD10/SASE3
- There will be a meeting next week in order to determine whether we are ready for "Early User Experiments" in SASE1.
- A discussion on what needs to be prepared for this meeting followed with the following conclusions
- The term "Early User Experiments" needs further qualification in order to establish a well defined scope
- Instruments and support groups (SPB, FXE, AE, CAS, ITDM, Detectors) should prepare a table with their list of deliverables and the corresponding status, following the model presented by CAS in the talk by H. Santos last week
- In the wake of the meeting it needs to be communicated to the first scheduled groups what boundary conditions they will most likely encounter
FXE
- The optical signal for laser synchronisation is still missing and not likely to arrive before next week
- Hence a pump-probe experiment cannot happen before the scheduled "Readiness Meeting" as there will also be no beam on Tuesday and Wednesday
- It will be difficult to answer the question whether a pump-probe experiment is possible
- JJ was here this week and installed the intensity monitor
SPB
- Big gate valve between AGIPD and sample chamber was opened for the first time 10 mins ago
- The liquid jet is running and the differential pumping is working so that proper vacuuum can be maintained
- Issues remain with the SmarACT stages. Resets are needed at short invervals
- Availability of "slow" data in the DAQ chain remains the hot topic
Tunnel Installations
- Work in XTD10 continued through Monday morning
- Ion pumps and valves are now connected to the PLC.
- KARABO control has to wait for CAS resources
Laser
- Issues remain with AC system.
- The flow rates are way to high and it appears that the system was designed for much higher flows than needed
- Weiss Klimatechnik is coming on Monday for a discussion
- Otherwise, installation proceeds and is still on track for laser beam delivery in October
Detectors
- A lot of progress was made with the detectors
- However, time is still needed to take calibration data. This is estimated as one day without beam per detector
- A reduced rates both detectors can run in parallel for tests. This is not possible for the calibration
Electronics
- The encoder bug reported on Wednesday was found and consequently all loops were updated
- Currently work continues on the SPB SmarACT stages
- The interface to the MPS system still needs to be set up. This requires an interrupt and testing
CAS
- Several unexpected issues were found in the most recent KARABO release, e. g. there are problems with the time server that still prevent DAQ integration of the slow data
- This takes a lot of additional time
- A plan review has now been agreed with both instruments once per week
- A survey was made on the need for specific DOOCS devices

Monica Aresté | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | Electronics
- Currently work continues on the SPB SmarACT stages, this issue progress slowly since right now it is not possible to reproduce the error.
- SPB loops 1/2/3/4/12 already updated, they will continue with the update of loops 5/7/13 today.
- Update on FXE loops will be the next.
- It is suggested to update also the loops in XTD9.
- AE report a request from J. Grunert to work in the HYREX. So far first priority is to work in the Experiments, this issue will be on hold.
CAS
- CAS has been working in the last days to solve the problems with the DAQ integration. Main showstopper now is the update of the Beckhoff loops.
- Still working to fix some minor issues for SPB.
Tunnels
- There is a problem in the HYREX photonic camera, CAS has been investigating but is not a KARABO issue.

Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | General:
- The length of the shut down in October is still under discussion. Currently it appears that it is shortenend to 8 working days
- The management reviewed the readiness of the instruments for first users on 14 September:
- Very good progress was made over the last weeks
- Data was taken with both large pixel detectors
- A few "red lights" remain
- In spite of the remaining difficulties, the first users will be invited
- However, the Management shall inform the first users that they will get another beam time in March in case the experiment objectives cannot be reached
- The second call for proposal will only cover 5 weeks in May/June
- The third call will start on 6 September for all 6 instruments
FXE
- van Hamos was aligned for the Cu K_\beta line (required for the 3rd exp)
- XRay emission was observed on the GreatEyes detector
- Work is still urgently needed to get the Gotthardt Detector working
- The laser is synchronised to 100fs. It is currently up to the shutter in the instrument hutch
SPB
- On Monday AGIPD took first data with 30 frames
- The sample jet is working with sufficient vacuum to operate the detector
- Yesterday, everything was ready to take data with liquid jet and AGIPD. Unfortunately, there was a major software/electronics failure that lasted for 6.5h
- A fuse was blown in one crate needed for the train IDs (single point of failure)
- This affected all crates and KARABO
- A fallback is currently being implemented
- The door interlock could not be operated because there was a problem with the operator password
Tunnel
- SASE3 tunnel installation will not be reviewed because there is no work on it
- SASE2 tunnel installations will be reviewed once AE and CAS get involved.
- Network installations may take up to 4 months (info by K. Wrona)
- First signals were seen from HIREX last week
- Currently this integrates over 30 bunches as Gotthardt is not available
Laser
- Differently from what was reported earlier, the AC system works at the required lower flow rates
- Progress on laser installation and commissioning is progressing as planned
- There are a few problems with motor operations from KARABO
Detectors
- Both AGIPD and LPD are taking uncalibrated data
- A cooling leak was detected in LPD. Experts from RAL are going to look at this today
- Calibration may just be achieved for AGIPD. Probably not for LPD due tot the HW problems
AE
- All SPB loops were updated to accommodate the train ids
- Almost all FXE loops were updated too
- The tunnel loops were not updated yet.
- For the tunnel, the motion loop needs to be updated. EPS and Vacuum loops should remain unchanged
- There remains one open issue with an encoder on the sample injector. X and Y encoders will be exchanged today to isolate the problem
CAS
- Work this week concentrated on GUI issues (achieve faster feedback)
- One patch was released to fix GUI problems
- Good progress was made with data analysis tests together with people from CFEL
- Next important topic on the list is to get the XGM data into the KARABO DAQ stream. This requires the DOOCS interface
- KARABO 2.1.16 needs to be closed
- For FXE there is good progress with Gotthardt. This now needs testing in the hutch. The same applies to the digitizers.
- W. Wrona points out that independent KARABO installations exist for SPB, FXE and tunnels. This needs to be fixed to allow DAQ integration.

08 Sep 2017, 13:47 |
Tobias Haas | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1/3 Readiness Meeting | General
- User operation starts on Thursday 14 September 08:00 in FXE
- Instruments alternate every 12h switching at 0800 and 2000
- A common SASE1 operations log book has been set up here. It is accessible for all inside XFEL
- The PIs of the first 6 user groups have been informed that the scope of their experiments will be rather "user-assisted commissioning". In compensation they will get more beam time in March 2018 if the objectives of their proposals could not be reached
SPB
- An effort was made with ACC to achieve good conditions for focussing. So far this has not been successful
- At 2200 on thursday these efforts were abandoned as there were no more ideas to try
- Also the power level in the beam was rather low
- Negative effects of running the detector on KARABO responsiveness are much reduced now
- This night KARABO froze up completely (no detector running) and no support from CAS was available (No response from calling the OCD mobile)
FXE
- Cross calibration effort for the beam energy was performed with HIREX. This succeeded after some efforts.
- The absolute energy scale could be established to within 70 eV. The fluctuations (averaged over several seconds) are around 20 eV
- Effort to synchronize the tangerine laser beam and to bring it to the sample continues. The quality of the sync signal is not very good. There are big signal losses in the fiber
Laser
- Still two problems with KARABO: Cannot reliably read date from wave guides and the python to doocs interfaces does not implement essential data types
- Currently working on aligning the NOPA
- The fact that the synch signal will not be available until end Sept puts a strain on the planned dates for beam delivery
- The full SYNC hutch will not be available until end Dec
Detectors
- The new GUI version gives good response while detector is running
- SPB was instructed on how to use the offline calibration
- LPD was brought into the SASE1 broker topic
- Coolant leak in LPD was fixed but 1 super module had to be removed
Electronics
- A failsafe mechanism has been implemented in the firmware framework that allows the PLCs to continue running even if train ids should not be available from the timing system
- This requires an upgrade of all loops.
- One encoder problem in SPB was identified as a problem with the cable
- One motor problem in SPB (injector y motion) is suspected to be a faulty terminal. The motor was moved to a test crate where it works fine. This can stay like this for the moment
CAS
- KARABO 2.1.16 was released. This release is not mandatory but recommended
- Work is ongoing on the DOOCS bridge
- XGM data is availalble now but requires a check by J. Grünert
- Work continues on the Gotthardt and GreatEyes detectors
- In the case of GreatEyes the vendor has been contacted and the reply is being awaited
- Good progress was made with data analysis on the ONDA cluster
ITDM
- Accounts for users are prepared.
- Maxwell cluster is ready for offline analysis. Example files and programs are available
- Several PCs in XHQ have been set up that have direct access to the control network
- These PCs are only for monitoring experiment activities. They are not for general use and are not connected to the internet.

Gerd Wellenreuther | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1 Status/SASE3 Readiness Meeting 26.1. | SPB/SFX:
-
Preparation for the mirror installation were ongoing as planned.
-
The Karabo and server update went smooth, but scenes were broken a bit more then anticipated so we are still testing on that part.
-
ITDM was working on DAQ update and Jola checked out the detector with the new Karabo successfully.
FXE:
- did not attend / did not send any report
Vacuum:
Diagnostics:
- final checklist tour today 11h (because XTD10 closes tuesday), remove material
- MCP: installed webcam, some trigger issue with MCP-CAM-BEAMVIEW
- manipulator motors unstable
- KMONO: found some wrong motion directions, urgent work ongoing today to correct this, AE support needed
- PES: still no eplan available (laid some vacuum cables but of course unconnected)
- consequence: further progress on PES Beckhoff system only in April
- positive news: non-Beckhoff controls (HV, detector signals) operational !
- IMAGERS: The imagers in motion loop 1 are operational for first lasing.
- Some minor rework is planned until tunnel closure: default parameters, EPS, trigger in some cases
Laser:
- SASE1 PP-laser commissioning: progress is according to plan.
- SASE 2 and 3 laser safety and access control installations are in time for start of laser table installations in all laser hutches at beginning of April.
Detectors:
- LPD is waiting for DAQ-test with new Karabo
- DAQ-test for AGIPD is ongoing and okay so far
- Some issues were found, but they are not considered critical for the operation
AdvancedElectronics:
- Machine trigger is back to 10Hz, should again stay at 10Hz "forever", let's see...
- PLCs have been updated in SASE3 tunnels, and many tests are ongoing, with little time left
- Gas attenuator has an issue, AE is working on it, but it should not be a showstopper
- XTD2: Some issues with the CRLs, but first local test has to be done, then remote-control test can be done using Karabo
- MC2-based motors for synchronized movement of the mirrors are being done. Next week a test with the real nano-KB-system with fake mirrors will be done
- Jan found some issues in the SASE3 kMono, and is working on them
ITDM:
- Testing DAQ with new Karabo release, so far so good...
- DAQ for LPD is being deployed
- By the end of CW 5 the DAQ for SASE3 tunnels will be deployed
- Meeting with the laser group to check requirements for data acquisition
- Broken Linecard should have been replaced on the 26.1.
- Paths to Online- & Offline-data folders have been given the same pathname
- Update/switch for the gateway to the control network will happen in CW 5
CAS:
- This week we have been prioritizing: SASE1, SASE3 & SPB (Karabo 2.2.1) Deployment.
- We also have been working internally to speedUp the Karabo 2.2.2 tests and releases. This version will have, mainly, GUI improvements.
- We also have been discussing XGM requirements and tests. We will perform more XGM-TraindID tests, but the final statement can be done only after tests again real beam.
- FXE provided a "next steps list": Digitizer, OGT1_BIU, beam-position feedback
- Sergey and Hamed are working and prioritizing Digitizer implementation

Adriano Violante | General | Information | Status and plans after SASE1 Status/SASE3 Readiness Meeting 16.03.. | Photon Run Coordinator (H. Sinn):
1.) SASE1: User experiment SPB could be finished sucussfully after several problems on the weekend (thank to FXE for providing night shift). Big progress in improving throughput of FXE insrument. Next D3 material test with 300 bunches on April 3, 9am.
2.) SASE2: Transmission of electron beam to T5D dump (SASE2 beamline) this week sucessful. Switching between electron beamlines
works nicely (minor problem witth dark current during switching).
Now air coil measurement going on. BBA needs to done before first lasiing starting on May 2nd.
To be clarified today: To we need access to XTD in week 12/13.
3.) SASE3: Photon commissioning (with 24/7 shifts) finished sucessfully. Now specific tasks are done parasitically to SASE1 operation
during regular working hours (organized by photon run coordinator).
4.) General (stimulated by DESY operators): EPS system can lead to shutdown of DESY accelerator through MPS by many different channels (PLC in tunnels, Fast valves, PBLM etc).
On DESY side, MPS provides overview of inputs, but structure difficult to understand and labels are not always conclusive,
On XFEL side, no general overview panel for all SASEs+Instruments (scene) exists, but it required for facility operation.
SPB
