Vacumm and Motion are running again after the hardware changes.

Today Denis has to make some changes in the Vacuum and Motion hardware loop, therefore they would be down some time.

At least, we would try to keep the Vacuum loop up again for 3pm, therefore Valerii and Raul could use it with Karaboo.

XTD2, IMAG.2694.T9, Pop-In II-45: Acceptance test of motor control under Karabo, done. Camera device needs further explanations and testing.

Finally today the Vacuum and Motion will still running the hole day and I would have to stop them tomorrow morning. Before doing this operation, I will post an entry in the ELOG.

Tomorrow, 14th of March, Vacuum and Motion loop will be down at least during morning due to technical reasons .

I will notify you when the works are finished.

In addition it should be tried to have a so called "Happy Hour" every day from 0800 - 1000. During this time loops should be up if possible. Meaning that in the evening before leaving, developers bring loops back up.

The XTD2 CRL is now aligned and cabled.

Motor cabling is complete and ready for local testing. Encoder and PT100 cabling at rack to be completed by the middle of week 11.

Note that due to a bug in the elog the name appeared wrongly in my previous message. In general: Avoid underscores in the file names!

End switch testing: the in-position end switch stopped devices working, also stopped gateway connection. Stroke of motor is not correct, parameter list to be checked. More details in "Improvements / bug list".

The interlock test in XTD9-DPS has been done. The Vacuum PLC is again available for Karaboo.

As discussed with Wajid, I am availalbe tomorrow Wednesday the whole day to continue testing Karabo, motion loop. Wajid checked with Narea. I understand that there may be interruptions and that I have not first priority. Thanks, Andreas

Dear all,

Tomorrow morning, 08th of March at 09.30h. I will be in the tunnel doing interlock tests in the DPS-XTD9 with Raúl.

Therefore I will need the connection of the TCP_Client in the Vacuum loop (just to let know Karaboo people).

I will post again when the PLC is available for Karaboo.

6.3.2017, Karabo tests in XTD2 with Wajid, Andreas

1. Karabo all devices, all scenes working, with restrictions.

2. Power supply, motor, LED working.

3. Scenes tested: Motor scene and camera scene need additional parameters. AK will edit a list of suggestions, improvements and bugs.

4. Bugs, observations, details in improvement list.:

- Homing not working, tried also old parameter set from prototype crate.

- Encoder position not correct, dragging behind.

- Parameter for braking switch missing “ALowSpeed”.
